Okay, call me a romantic at heart. I still love weddings today as much as I did when I started in 1988. Actually, I love them even more today. I still get really excited seeing the bride in her dress, watching the groom's face light up when he sees his bride in her dress for the first time, and most of all, seeing the magic between two people in love. I really love what I do and I enjoy meeting so many great people and having the chance to create wonderful memories for them.

I've made cherished lifetime friends with some of my wedding couples which led to expanding my photography into the family and baby areas. It brings me so much joy to see two people evolve over time into families, and that's why I want to be your family photographer for life. I don't treat each wedding or session as a one-time interaction but as another chapter in someone's life, hence the "Slice of Life" name.

I've been very blessed to meet one of my best friends, Grant, who is another talented photographer with a style extremely similar to mine. We met in 1999 and found that our wedding photography was a "yin-yang" type of thing where we complimented each other and were able to give couples images that we couldn't have done by ourselves. We have so much fun working together and I think it shows in our work.

Heidi is a Past President and Chairman of the Board of the Professional Photographers of San Diego County. In addition, she earned her college degree in photography as well as becoming a Certified Professional Photographer with the Professional Photographers of America in 2000, which is comparable to being a CPA in the field of accounting. Less than 2,000 photographers nationwide are certified. In both 2007 and 2008, Heidi was awarded San Diego's Wedding Album Photographer of the Year. Her work has been showcased in national magazines and websites, and her popularity has created a demand for her services throughout the United States.
