The Opulent Crystal Ballroom
Unveiled in 1927 as the Italianate Ballroom, this private socialite salon was built to complement the hotel's original Grand Ballroom. Restored and enhanced to rival its original splendor, the Crystal Ballroom boasts a restored travertine floor, embellished European plasterwork and a newly commissioned hand-painted ceiling. This signature room sparkles with four dazzling Czechoslovakian crystal chandeliers, a romantic fireplace and is adjoined by a marble lined reception foyer with intricate Spanish Colonial carved ceiling and original bronze entry doors. A $40,000 custom-designed silk bridal runner is one of many signature amenities that complement the soul of this room which accommodates receptions for 300, dinners for 200 and ceremonies for 250.

The Spiritual Celestial Ballroom
The heart of soul of this National Register of Historic Places Hotel, the Celestial Ballroom embodies all that is the legend and legacy of THE US GRANT. The elegant ribs of the vaulted ceiling are hand painted and lacquered in subtle shades of metallic blue and supported by grand columns intricately restored to the detailed wood work of the rooms 1930's heyday as San Diego's supper club and speakeasy. Almost 6,000 square feet of space are accented by hand blown Italian chandeliers and wool carpets designed to compliment the original Spanish tiles of the south entry foyer and surround you in a setting of 18th century ambiance with 21st century service. Walls are adorned with designs reflecting the spirituality of nature and an ambiance of tranquility for receptions up to 500 and dinners for 400.

The Magnificent Presidential Ballroom
Where history has been made, this magnificent ballroom with spacious reception foyers and adjoining event rooms is the ultimate setting for a grand event. For receptions to 1,200 or dinner for 650, the Presidential ballroom includes twin barrel vaulted ceilings with four crystal chandeliers, beaux arts design and a 1,100 square foot theatrical stage which serves as the ultimate setting for the bridal party and entertainment.
